towards improving social conditions. We provide
free/cheap healthcare services through our charity
clinics, low income housing and related social
services. Houston Shifa Services Foundation
is founded by local physicians and volunteers
with a mission to provide community oriented
alternative healthcare and social services for
those who cannot afford such services.
Shifa's clinic serves people of any race, color
or religion. Shifa focuses on preventive care,
as well as family, general, and pediatric care.
Dental services and eye screenings are also
offered, along with educational and social services

Annual Dinner of Houston
Shifa Foundation was held at the stylish Vargo’s
Restaurant in Houston. Keynote Speakers included
Houston Mayor Bill White, who lauded the efforts
of HSF in the field of community health and
rehabilitation of ex-offenders and Nobel Laureate
Dr. Ferid Murad, who made an interesting video
on how and why he got the Noble Prize and then
he made a verbal presentation on Scientific
Research to instill interest in the community
to enter the arena of Research-&-Development
(R-&-D).
Also spoke on the occasion included City of
Houston Councilperson M. J. Khan, HSF Board
Members Laeeq A. Khan, Dr. Moien R. Butt and
Dr. Rizwan Naeem.
